The cost of a translation is usually calculated according to the standard page. One standard page as a measurement unit contains 250 words or 1,800 characters with spaces or 1,500 characters without spaces – depending on the calculating method.
The price of a certified translation is determined by the “The Regulation on Court Appointed Interpreters” (Official Gazette no. 88/08). The price also depends on the complexity of the text, the combination of languages and the delivery time, and ranges from HRK 70 per page for written translations and from HRK 120 per page for certified translations.
The requested translations are delivered in agreement with the client and in accordance with the client's business deadlines, and a written offer proposes a deadline within which a particular service can be performed.
You can order the translation by phone, e-mail or in person. If you have translations of related texts or glossaries of terms, feel free to attach them, especially if it is a technical/scientific or more complex text.
A court-certified translation is an official and legally valid document and is accompanied by a statement, signature and stamp of a court interpreter certifying that the translation is a faithful and complete translation of the original document (and bears legal responsibility for any errors). The document types for which certified translations are most often needed are public instruments and identity documents, medical records, company records and legal records. The so-called normal translation is mostly intended for personal use, is not considered legally valid and does not have a statement, signature and stamp of a court interpreter.
Translation and proofreading services are charged according to the number of characters without spaces in the original text, i. e. the standard page. One standard page contains 1,500 characters without spaces. Character count is computer-based. Minimum charge unit is 1 standard page.
Translations of up to 15 standard pages (or 22,500 characters) can be completed within 48 hours.
